Two Wolves
One night, an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson of the battle that takes place inside each person.
He said: "Dear nephew, within each of us is a battle between two wolves. One wolf is evil: it is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, deceit, pride, superiority and pure rationality. The other is good: it is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.. "
The grandson reflected on those words for a few minutes and asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?".
The old Cherokee simply replied: "That which nourishes.."
